WesleyLife is excited to make available the opportunity for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to step into a new role as our Associate Executive Director for WesleyLife's Network Support Center.

You will become a part of WesleyLife's main office located in Johnston, IA. You will be asked to continue our reputation of excellence in service, hospitality, and quality as you partner with a committed group of team members who are passionate about the mission of our organization.

A Typical Day as our Associate Executive Director:

  • Complete and lead specific projects or assignments based on individual areas of expertise or as assigned

  • Participate in the operational priorities and strategies of the organization, with the opportunity to ensure the operational execution of assigned/delegated priorities

  • Serve through interim assignments across the organization in the event of a vacancy or assist in the start-up of a new initiative, project or community/service. The duties associated with this assignment will be highly varied and will require the individual to learn quickly and to adjust their work priorities and leadership style to the situation.

  • Provide leadership to assigned teams as it relates to project and/or interim leadership assignments. As a part of the leadership responsibilities, participates in hiring and selection decisions and manages people and performance.

  • Participate in meetings, special events or opportunities that expose you to strategic discussions, planning activities, board interactions, and the expectations of a WesleyLife Executive Director. These include but are not limited to:

  • Expanded Executive Circle meetings

  • Board/Committee meetings

  • Project Teams

  • Budget Planning meetings and discussions

  • Leadership Circle meetings (community-specific as well as the quarterly learning sessions);

  • Project leadership

  • You may be expected to create work products, tools, business plans, etc. that may be used in the development and implementation of WesleyLife programs and services.

In summary, our Associate Executive Director must be a mission-focused and values-based leader who demonstrates the ability to focus on results. The ability to inspire the team around a shared set of expectations and outcomes as well as excellent communication and people skills are important for this role. Compensation for this position is strong and relocation support will be provided. (Residency in or near the Des Moines metro, Iowa is required.) Please note- you must currently hold your Nursing Home Administrator license to be considered for this position.
