Business Intelligence (BI) Research Specialists at Corteva excel at both business analysis, project management, and even software development. They are curious, creative and innovative. As a BI Specialist, you will work directly with research partners to understand scientific concepts, laboratory processes, and field research activities, formulate and translate business requirements into reporting solutions that provide scientific analytics and insight, drive improvements in operational efficiency, and enable decision support. You may also create new reports by utilizing your in-depth knowledge of BI reporting platforms, UI design principles, and advanced visualizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with scientists and associates to gather requirements and translate reporting needs into reporting solutions for integrated field sciences and their development of grower focused solutions in crop protection, traits, biologicals, and other field technologies

  • Lead product delivery by creating project plans, proposing timelines, holding regular stakeholder meetings, communicating updates, and maintaining a project portfolio

  • Ask questions, propose solutions, design prototypes, deliver results

  • Coordinate with BI colleagues and cross-functional software development teams to create and deliver value-driven BI products that are actionable and efficient

  • Work with BI developers to create reports, user-interfaces, and advanced visualizations

  • Continuously learn and share technical knowledge through proof-of-concept exercises and personal development goals

Qualifications

Requirements:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor’s degree; solid understanding of field agronomy science; BI technical skills a plus

  • Clear and open communications, both written and verbal

  • Collaboration with people from diverse backgrounds in disparate geographic locations

  • Ability to understand, take apart, and solve complex scientific problems

  • Leadership to drive solutions forward and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

  • Hands-on experience consuming or creating content from business intelligence tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Spotfire

  • Basic experience writing SQL to query databases, on-premise and cloud-hosted is a plus

  • Passion to explore innovative technologies, take risks, and push the envelope
