Our Controller serves WesleyLife as the accounting leader and a business partner for the organization, responsible for all finance, accounting and payroll functions. This is a critical leadership position in our organization, requiring the ability to collaborate and problem solve, the willingness to demonstrate values-based leadership and the skill to ensure critical finance and accounting processes meet our high quality and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the finance, accounting and payroll teams for WesleyLife and creating a work environment that attracts, engages and retains talented people.

  • Leading and directing all general accounting functions including the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and GAAP compliance

  • Establishing sound WesleyLife finance, accounting and reporting standards and efficient work practices.

  • Identifying and implementing ways in which we can improve the finance and accounting support for the organization.

  • Providing analysis and reporting of the accounting/financial results.

  • Consulting with senior leadership and leaders across the organization related to our financial results, serving as a business partner to address areas

  • Actively participating in discussions and projects related to organizational growth, including organic growth as well as growth through affiliations and/or new operations within WesleyLife

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced financial accounting leader with a track record of success implementing effective accounting, payroll, finance and financial reporting systems. We require at least 10 years of prior experience to include mid to senior level leadership responsibilities. An undergraduate degree in accounting or finance is required. An advanced degree or CPA designation is highly desired. We are looking for a proven leader with a demonstrated record of achieving results grounded in metrics, analytics and outcomes while sharing our passion for new ideas, innovation and the customer experience. Must have exceptional MicroSoft Office, Finance/Accounting software, and data reporting/analytics skills.

Our new Controller must be a mission-focused and values-based leader while also demonstrating the ability to focus on outcomes. The ability to lead by example, be relationship-focused, and share in our mission and vision as a service-oriented organization are critical. Excellent communication, leadership, and people skills are important!
