We know youire not just looking for an internship.i Teaming with SHAZAM will not only be about skills and responsibilities but offering you real experiences, challenges and opportunities to shine all while gaining the knowledge to grow your passion and prepare for your next goals.ITS, Inc., SHAZAM, a leading national electronic funds transfer system is actively seeking an Object-Oriented Software Engineer Intern to join the OLTP development services team in our Johnston office.i This is an excellent opportunity to gain skills under the guidance of an expert in the field, significantly contribute to a world-class on-line transaction processing solution, and position yourself for a future career in application development.i If you are looking for a challenging and stimulating, fast-paced environment with an opportunity to shine and grow your talents, weid like to hear from you.ActivitiesAssist with the design and development of software using C++, Python, and Java as the primary languages.Work with leading development and organizational tools.Build high quality solutions, delivered on or ahead of schedule.Perform complete unit and integration testing to ensure the solution meets or exceeds requirements with a zero defect mindset.Resolve issues in the production environment with the guidance of a mentor.Within the first 6 months:Become fully productive using the development tools within SHAZAMis environment.Understand current application solutions and current/future project initiatives.Develop a working knowledge of SHAZAMis applications.Integrate into the OLTP application development team taking responsibility for deliverables with the guidance of a mentor.Exhibit a high level of motivation and commitment.QualificationsMust be working towards a degree in Computer Science/MIS/BIS or equivalent.Must have completed at least one C++ course, one Database course, a SQL course, and advanced C++, python and Java courses completed or pendingAvailable to work 20-40 hours per weekPassion for development and testingGreat communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative team environmentDemonstrable skills using object oriented application development.Highly motivated and fully engaged with a commitment to high standards.
