Oxford Property Management Health Service Coordinator in Lawton, Iowa

Lawton Senior Living is seeking a full-time Health Service Coordinator to join their team!

Position Summary

Provide reception, office support and other assigned duties under the direction of the Community Director and/or Director of Health Services. Answer and direct incoming calls, handle incoming and outgoing mail, greet and direct visitors, assist residents and others with appropriate reception and administrative duties. Process resident services billing, including private pay, county and state billing and other related duties. May create and coordinate staff scheduling, process new employee paperwork and other assigned duties as requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and/or Perform Administrative Tasks and Reception Duties: a. Support day-to-day building, staff and resident operations as requested b. Maintain building and other records, filing, and other office-related duties in an organized manner c. Ensure welcome reception of residents and visitors and answer questions or direct them to the appropriate person d. Answer phone with a helpful attitude and clear greeting, and follow-through with messages e. Respond to medical, maintenance, fire and security emergencies per policies and procedures f. Assist staff with administrative duties such as copying, faxing, filing and collating g. Perform errands and appointments for campus and residents as needed h. Assist campus director as requested when back-up needed 2. Create and Coordinate Staff Schedules and New Hire Paperwork (if requested): a. Monitor requests on a day-to-day basis b. Ensure the appropriate amount of staff is available for each shift by responding to call-ins and other open shifts c. Report changes, inconsistencies, job vacancies or scheduling concerns to the Director of Health Services d. Schedule light duty work for employees on restriction if possible and maintain confidentiality e. Assist with new employee orientations, explain programs to report work hours, attendance and other onboarding duties as assigned, i.e. order uniforms and badges, process paperwork, etc.3. Marketing assignments

    a. Activities involving residents and families

    b. Community outreach with local agencies, community personnel and residents

    c. Facility decorating and special events

    d. Facility tours and prospective resident information

  2. Additional duties as requested

    a. Scheduling and implementing activities on a monthly basis

    b. Resident care conferences or other necessary meetings as defined by the Director

    c. Front desk responsibilities and coverage

    d. May involve on call for the community

    e. Electronic medical record oversight and training

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED Preferred.

  • One to three years of related work experience required, three to five years preferred.

  • Previous computer and telephone operations experience.

  • Solid knowledge of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
