TITLE:

Board Secretary/Business Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain School Business Official Authorization
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business or higher with minimum of 9 hours of Accounting
  • Five years (desired) Bookkeeping/Governmental Accounting experience to include payroll, accounts payable and receivables as well as budgeting
  • Computer competency in Word, Google Apps, Excel, Software Unlimited Accounting Software (desired)

REPORTS TO:

Superintendent and Board President

WAGE/BENEFITS:

To Be Determined based on qualifications with full single insurance

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

12 month contract with approximate start date of May 1, 2024 (Would like applicant to start in March to work with current SBO)

JOB GOAL:

To complete the detail and written work relating to Board operations and to coordinate other matters essential to the efficiency of the Board. To administer the business affairs of the district in such a way as to provide the best possible educational services with the financial resources available.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attends all meetings of the Board

Keeps full and accurate minutes of all meetings of the Board and posts a copy of such minutes on Board dox site as well as to the newspaper for publication

Assists in the preparation of agendas setting forth all known items of business to be considered at Board meetings

Publishes all legal notices concerning district business

Deposits monies received in banks designated by the Board or delegates a designee

Gives detailed accounts of monies received and disbursed at least once a month prior to the regular meeting of the
