Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This engineer plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. In addition, the engineer provides direct advisory support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly and material handling.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Coordinating the activities of Purchasing, Maintenance, Operations, and Quality to ensure timely factory readiness for new product launch events.

• Participating in cross-functional teams to investigate and implement new technology, equipment, and processes to increase production capacity and improve manufacturing operations.

• Maintaining a broad knowledge of current and potential product designs, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.

• In this high-impact role, you will be driving new product and process introductions and get to see your efforts result in new parts, assemblies, and products.

• Working with product development teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing principles are applied to new product designs.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 2 year related experience.

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Experience with analytical and CAD software. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Requires strong knowledge of mechanical and manufacturing theory and design. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
