Emerson Digital Business Development Manager in Marshalltown, Iowa

Emerson is currently seeking a Digital Business Development Manager to join our team.. The this role is central to our enhanced customer engagement strategy, allowing us to serve our committed and loyal solutions customers more effectively and efficiently. The position combines both the highly technical engineering with the cutting-edge digital tools that deliver an enhanced experience for our customers. The individual selected for this role will develop and execute programs to monitor and manage the performance and reliability of customer valve assemblies. These programs will be designed to provide the proper level of technology for each automated valve specific to the application’s impact on customer business results. Additionally this position will coordinate the North American needs and expectations for our digital customer experience with the global team to ensure we have the right technology and services to exceed customer expectations.

As a Digital Business Development Manager You Will…

  • Collaborate with product marketing, global industry sales, and sales channel to drive digital customer solutions to meet goals for growth and market penetration

  • Lead NA digital customer experience coordinating with our global team to ensure North American needs are met

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand our digital customer experience and service offerings in line with company targets and objectives

  • Responsible with working with the sales channel to gain customer insight and provide feedback for improvements with the product development team and global industry sales team

  • Able to be successful in a matrixed organization and drive influence with both internal and external customers

  • Identify new market opportunities and potential customers to maximize revenue generation while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key industry stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Create and execute sales and marketing campaigns to promote the company's digital customer experience offerings and drive customer engagement

  • Collaborate with the product marketing team to promote the company’s digital products and tools and digital experience

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field;

  • 10 yrs sales account management

  • Ability to travel up to 50% travel

  • Strong track record in identifying and closing new business opportunities, achieving revenue targets, and establishing long-term relationships with customers

  • Ability to manage through influence

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and threats to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven, with exceptional project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification i

  • Previous experience focused on digital customer experience and digital tools
