Emerson Vice President, Strategic Marketing in Marshalltown, Iowa

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Leverage market intelligence to expand Flow Controls’ reach beyond current boundaries, conducting detailed assessments of market potential, evaluating risks and benefits, and capturing competitive insights.

  • Apply a blend of data-driven decision-making and qualitative research to analyze historical and forecasted trends across customers, industries, products, and geographies.

  • Identify and evaluate expansion opportunities for business initiatives, including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, partnerships, and organic growth, securing consensus for strategic moves.

  • Enhance the decision-making process by implementing a focused approach to new opportunities, developing metrics to track performance and ensure strategic actions are implemented effectively at all levels.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to craft and communicate Flow Controls’ strategic vision, ensuring alignment with company goals for team members, partners, customers, and shareholders, while rigorously monitoring progress and outcomes.

  • Drive the marketing communications strategy to elevate and strengthen Flow Controls’ brand presence in the market.

  • Exemplify strong values and personal credibility through a collaborative and transparent leadership style, effectively guiding projects and inspiring teams to achieve shared goals.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 7+ years experience in driving strategy, delivering results in ambiguous environments

  • Bachelor degree required

  • Strong leader driving transformational change and fostering stakeholder collaboration

  • Creative thinker identifying market opportunities

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter capable of inspiring teams and managing projects

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage through influence

  • Proactive, high-energy style

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • MBA

  • Strategic experience in process automation with an ability to interpret industry and technology trends

  • Global perspective with international market experience desired
