This role will be based out of Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) located in Mason City, Iowa.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Procurement and management of the sourcing process for specialty products and new product development

  • Act as the liaison and project lead for sourcing efforts from New Product Development (NPD) through product launch

  • Identify and manage the on-boarding process of new suppliers

  • Own the supplier relationship and act as the main point of contact between suppliers, New Product Development and Specialty Teams

  • Conduct benchmarking and value analysis to craft ways to reduce cost

  • Monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers to resolve delivery and quality issues

  • Identify and improve processes to streamline daily efforts and implement cost saving initiatives

  • Other duties / projects as assigned

  • Consistently supports and promotes a safe and harmonious working environment

  • Comply with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar field

  • Minimum of 3 years in purchasing within a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Possess a passion for innovation and the ability to understand and communicate technical product information

  • Advanced computer skills especially with Excel (ability to analyze and manipulate data)

  • Demonstrated experience performing analytical and strategic cost reductions

  • Previous experience working with a MRP system

  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing and new product launches preferred

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, analytical, problem solving, negotiating and project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Exceptional communication skills both oral and written, with the ability to present complex information in a concise and intelligent manner to both internal and external stake holders
