Principal Accountabilities
35% Maintain ammonia refrigeration system and training: Perform daily monitoring of the system through walk arounds and trend graphs. Optimize ammonia operations through the use of the Logix system. Writing and review of task procedures, PM’s and SOP’s for operation of equipment and system. Support in PSM compliance audits. Performing preventative, predictive maintenance, and reactive maintenance strategies as designated.
30% Maintain Plant equipment. Work with others to promote quality and yield improvements. Organizing technician schedules and priorities they are leading, managing radio calls, ensuring work order process is followed, collaboration with other departments, lead in-house projects, mentor Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator as needed, energy management of utilities department and primary contact for all utility related issues. Work with Operations Supervisors to promote quality and yield improvements. Help manage and cover vacation and call-ins as needed.
15% Complete necessary documentation related to completion of Work Orders and applicable Process Safety Management (PSM) Elements.
10% Maintain adherence to all Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
10% To report problems with the food safety management system. Acquire and maintain knowledge of HACCP/OPRP/PRP (GMP) policies and requirements to complete all monitoring and/or verifications tasks as outlined in the Food Safety Management.
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Availability to work outside of normal shift up to including weekend and off shift hours as needed.
Understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration systems including design and load calculations
Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Certification – Operator Level 1, CIRO certification and minimum of 2 years ammonia operational experience.
Able to participate as a member of the emergency response team. Including wearing a full-face respirator mask as needed
Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude
Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints and other technical documents
Ability to learn chemistry of industrial wastewater systems
Basic computer skills including being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
2 years of Maintenance experience or completion of technical college degree in related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Certification Operator III/Technician I Course
Maintenance experience in a food processing environment
Able to effectively use typical industrial maintenance test and calibration equipment
Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems up to 480 VAC
Predictive Technology Experience
Experience working with SAP
Understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration systems
Familiarity P&IDs, single-lines, ladder logic and wiring schematics
Familiarity with industrial wastewater systems
Familiarity with SAP and maintenance scheduling software
