Job Title: E&I Technician

Job Description

E&I Technicians respond to all electrical and instrumentation work in the plant. They work closely with the production team to ensure electrical and control problems are isolated and repaired in a timely manner. Technicians respond to electrical/control breakdown calls, troubleshoot and repair 480VAC power distribution problems, and troubleshoot and repair issues with the different control system platforms. They also diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all electrical and instrumentation work in the plant.

  • Work closely with the production group to ensure electrical and control problems are isolated and repaired expediently.

  • Respond to electrical/control breakdown calls.

  • Troubleshoot and repair 480VAC power distribution problems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with different control system platforms.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with electrical and PLC diagnostics.

  • Industrial maintenance skills.

  • Mechanical inclination and troubleshooting skills.

  • PLC programming and diagnostic experience (6+ months).

  • Automation and wiring skills.

  • HMI programming and repair skills.

  • Experience with blueprint and schematic reading.

  • Knowledge of Rockwell and AutoCAD.

  • Valid Driver's License.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience as an industrial maintenance technician.

Work Environment

This position is on-site at a processing industrial plant. The work environment includes spending considerable time outside or in non-climate controlled areas, working on equipment up to 50 feet in the air. The swing shift is a 12-hour shift from 7 AM to 7 PM, rotating every 2-3 months. Specific hours and shifts may vary, including options for overtime and shift preferences.
