About the position:

Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to join a World Class HR team! As a part of the Raymond HR team reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you’ll lead a talented team of HR Business Partners. You’ll strategically partner with a site, group of leaders and associates to provide leadership, guidance and advice on a wide range of topics, attract and retain talent, manage performance, and develop our most important asset – our associates.

  • Lead, coach, train and develop a team of HR professionals based in our Muscatine facility, oversight of the day-to-day HR function.
  • Lead the development of human resources objectives and make recommendations for enhancements in support of site, departmental and corporate strategies.
  • Work with Environmental Health & Safety and business leaders to demonstrate and lead others in safety first.
  • Partner closely with compensation, benefits, training and development, talent attraction and HRIS resources to achieve business goals.
  • Work with business leaders to create and maintain an environment of positive employee relations, proactively engaging in day-to-day business activities.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Conduct and document thorough investigations into employee concerns.
  • Set the example for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and ethical behavior and practice in all aspects of day-to-day activities.
  • Work with business leaders and talent acquisition to identify short and long-term talent needs. With resource partners, strategize talent acquisition, retention, succession and development plan based on organizational needs.
  • Work closely with the hiring managers and talent acquisition to expedite the hiring process to secure outstanding talent.
  • Lead efforts to proactively assess department needs for training and development and collaborate with the training specialists to create and deliver organizational development and training programs.
  • Identify needs and lead efforts designed to ensure that Human Resources programs are compliant with all legal requirements and ensure that, to the extent possible, the needs of the business and the employee are balanced.
  • Perform work on HR and business projects that are generally large/complex in scope and generally have impact at an individual, departmental, divisional and/or corporate wide level.
  • Use metrics and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement programs accordingly.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to others, including leadership.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, a minimum of 3 years of management experience required.
  • Excellent people leadership with the ability to lead by example and influence, develop and encourage a team of HR professionals.
  • Understanding and application of an expert-level knowledge of the concepts, practices and procedures relating to the overall body of HR knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and a sense of urgency.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent business acumen, consulting, coaching (including leadership coaching), and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to uphold and exemplify the highest level of ethical practice, knowledge and behavior.
  • Ability to adapt, meet or exceed performance expectations in a changing and fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

It would be great if you had:

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR certification.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in strategic human resources support of varied business units in a decentralized structure
  • Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/ATS.
  • Experience working across multiple business units.
  • Experience in manufacturing or related industry.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $94,000 - $121,500 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
