We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team and help us continue to meet and exceed the enterprise's expectations. This position is critical to Centro’s success. The Controller helps the Chief Financial Officer prepare financial data for all Company activities that will help assist management and other users in making educated economic decisions about Centro's future.

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will be to coordinate the close process, analyze monthly budget variances and executive financial review questions, lead timely collection of accounts receivable and payment of vendors, assist with the management of business insurance, monitor banking conditions and perform cash flow analysis, assist with the budget process, and lead cost savings initiatives. Communicates with and keeps the Chief Financial Officer informed and up to date on all financial matters concerning the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and determine the financial status of the company and make recommendations to senior company leaders relative to the overall initiatives and goals of the company.

  • Responsible for the timely preparation and reporting of financial data in conformity with generally accepted accounting principals (i.e. financial transactions, operation costs, budgets, inventories, payroll, sales, taxes, depreciation, property values, auditing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections, etc.).

  • Safeguard all assets and establish and administer control standards as may be required to ensure the conservation, effective utilization and control of assets and capital.

  • Establish insurance protection, accounting systems and procedures, auditing requirements, and other financial operating policies.

  • Interpret and analyze operating results and budget variances and make recommendations that will result in cost reductions and profit improvements.

  • Responsible for the correct and accurate classification of all expenditures and documents including capital requests and purchase requisitions.

  • Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial information for weekly, monthly and annual financial reports. This includes any charts/graphs or other relevant data analysis tools.

  • Effectively lead a team consisting of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable Associates.

  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions activities.

  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business required, CPA or MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum of seven years experience in a similar field required. Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred.

  • Strong computer skills inluding proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal relations, and listening skills are required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to think analytically and follow through on tasks.

  • Critical, analytical thinker with ability to identify and drive execution of continuous improvement projects.

  • Willingness to accept and embrace change to improve efficiencies.
