Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a 3rd shift maintenance supervisor to oversee a crew of 4-5 night shift employees and ensure smooth communication with production as needed. The candidate will be responsible for addressing all mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical breakdowns, specifically focusing on maintaining and repairing belt and chain-driven conveyors, PMs, gearboxes, and motors (3-phase).

Responsibilities

• Supervise a crew of 4-5 night shift maintenance employees.

• Communicate effectively with production teams to address maintenance needs.

• Handle mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical breakdowns.

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as belt and chain-driven conveyors, gearboxes, and motors (3-phase).

• Troubleshoot electrical issues ranging from 24-260 volts, with some systems up to 480 volts.

• Work on 4160 cabinets, PLCs, VFDs, industrial ovens, and bagging machines (automation).

• Troubleshoot issues before contractors arrive for major electrical work.

• Utilize equipment including drill press, metal cutting saw, mills, lathes, hydraulic press, die grinder, and hand and power tools.

• Ensure the facility meets food-grade standards and addresses any maintenance issues promptly.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with PLCs, particularly AB PLCs.

• Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• No specific certifications or education required.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.

• Experience in an industrial or food-grade environment.
