L.L. Pelling Company, Inc. Oil Distributor Driver in North Liberty, Iowa

What You'd Be Doing

  • Floating between operating an oil distributor and safely transporting oil in all weather conditions from April to the beginning of November

  • Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment

  • Using both hands to operate pumps and valves both on and off the truck

  • Safely filling tanks using various size hoses, nozzles, and fittings

  • Walking, crouching, climbing, bending, and other physcially demanding movements throughout the day

  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting oil

  • Notifing a supervisor of any issues, concerns or major repair items in a timely and accurate manner

  • No over-the-road travel!

Position Requirements

  • Class A Commercial Driver's License with insurable driving record

  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsements

  • Able to work in all weather conditions

  • Dependable attendance. Arrive to work on-time, ready to go every day

  • Able and willing to work long hours including day and night shifts

  • Able to safely climb ladders and walk on top of truck tanks

  • Able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods

  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen

  • Able to work independently

  • Have clarity of speech and hearing so you can communicate effectively

  • Have sufficient vision including depth perception and peripheral vision which permits the safe operation of the truck

  • Have sufficient manual dexterity to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms

  • Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds regularly

  • Stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, reach, and use a ladder

Work Schedule

  • Work overtime on a regular basis

  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed
