Job Title: Quality Assurance SpecialistJob Description

Analyze products according to the MFI Internal Control Plan. Review quality data and ensure all food safety control points (CP) and critical control points (CCP) are monitored and reviewed for compliance. Address any out-of-specification CP/CCP and report deviations to leads, supervisors, or operators for correction. Ensure verification and calibration of equipment, and perform quality assurance SAP functions. Conduct laboratory duties related to analysis, sampling, pre-operation, and post-operation. Monitor and review net weights on all products produced. Work autonomously with all departments. Evaluate physical attributes such as code, shape of product, bake out, and sanitizer concentration check. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any food safety/quality deviations and/or failures. Follow USDA, FSIS, FDA, CN, Customer, and Company guidelines.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Norwalk, Iowa.

Work Environment

This is a food manufacturing environment where you will spend 90% of the time on the production floor. The environment is very loud due to machinery and includes varying temperatures from hot to cold. Candidates need to be comfortable with eating/touching eggs. Safety is a core value, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory. You will be walking/standing most of the time and must be comfortable wearing all PPE, including gloves, boot covers, long pants, lab coat, hair net, and ear plugs. No acrylic nails are allowed. The facility is very clean and housed in a new building with new equipment. There are two openings: 1st Opening: 4 am - 2:30 pm, rotating 4-day schedule including weekends, $20.50/hr. 2nd Opening: 3:30 pm - 12 am, Monday - Friday with weekend work as needed, $20/hr.
