Position Title:District Secretary

Location:Clear Creek Amana District Office (Oxford, IA)

Reports to: Sr. Executive Director of Schools

Job Summary: To provide administrative support for the District in a professional manner that provides a positive environment for students, staff and the general public.

Terms of Employment:12-month employee; Salary and benefits commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reception assistance with answering phones, greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate person or office.
  • Provide support for Superintendent, Sr. Executive Director of Schools and Executive Director of Special Education
    • Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and travel arrangements.
    • Assist with Medicaid billing, purchasing and roster weighting for Special Education
  • District office support:
    • Accounting and business operations support, including use of InTouch and general ledger coding
    • Assist technology with programming door access
    • Student registration through PowerSchools
    • Maintaining office supplies inventory and badge printing
  • Substitute for Building Secretaries as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors diploma preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
