Are you the type of person who enjoys leading a team and being an active participant in the selling process? In this role you will guide, mentor and assist account managers to create and execute growth objectives with a targeted group of Corporate Account customers. We're looking for someone that leads with passion, derives satisfaction from developing a team and is driven to build and execute an aggressive sales plan.

What You'll Do

  1. Lead by exhibiting the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.Supervise, organize, mentor and coachassigned sales team members in performance of their duties while influencing others to carry the Vermeer culture forward.Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization's strategies and objectives to drive key business results. Use expertise to ensure department is serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.

  2. Develop,execute,and leadstrategic plans for the assigned accounts and markets.Ensure Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) execution within the Corporate Account strategy and evaluate the execution and effectiveness of the group's strategic plans.

  3. Perform the duties of Corporate Accounts Manager with a select group of assigned accounts.Build high-level relationships between Vermeer management and these accounts, and actively manage relationships to assure effective engagement at multiple levels of Vermeer (factory, regional entities, and dealers) and customer organizations.

  4. Use market intelligence and industry drivers, in conjunction with appropriate Vermeer segments, to set customer-focused strategic direction for the assigned market including, but not limited to, gaps in Vermeer's current solution portfolio, alternative applications, product line expansion opportunities, and identification ofpartnership/acquisitiontargets, as well as, facilitating a connection between our digital technology team and the appropriate customer contacts.

  5. Represent assigned Corporate Accounts team internally and externally; ensure alignment within Vermeer corporate groups, segments, and dealer organization; attend association events to demonstrate Vermeer support for the industry and develop an expanded market network.

  6. Negotiate win-win agreements between the customer and Vermeer organization stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Business, marketing,financeor related field.

  • Minimum10 years' experience developing relationships and collaborating with small and large organizations that would include direct interaction with executive level management, operations and corporate purchasing personnel; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with construction equipment, domestic and international, or related industry preferred.

  • Experience with distribution and dealer relationships preferred.

  • Effective sales management and understanding of sales cycle including understanding of customers' business, buying cycles, and the competitive market(s); Ability to develop strong, ongoing customer relations through effective communication and thorough understanding of the customer's needs and attainment of sales goals.

  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills; demonstration of excellent communication skills with ability to commun cate across all levels of an organization including senior executive management, diverse client base, and ability to make presentations to the highest-level audience.

  • Ability to understand mathematical concepts especially when it comes to developing and communicating customer value in terms of operational and life cycle costs.Ability to understand the financial implications to all Vermeer stakeholders, and balance the required deliverables when negotiating complex agreements.

Travel

  • Significant travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
