1 - First Shift
The Manufacturing Methods Analyst communicates and facilitates quality methods and procedures and ensures implementation throughout the organization. This position trains and mentors ECN Coordinators across the mile to ensure consistent business processes are being followed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.
Coordinate with engineering on new product releases to production.
Perform costing evaluations of new or revised parts for engineering, to help them determine how cost effective the part or design is before being released to production.
Manage ECN process between operations and engineering. This may include processing and preparing the production release, reviewing and checking for accuracy, updating information, and training team members.
Assist team members in addressing quality problems on the production floor.
Review new prints for manufacturability, including material specs, tolerances, and processes needed to make the part.
Assist finance with consistent costing processes across the company.
Train and mentor ECN coordinators on the standard ECN costing and routing process including, but not limited to the use of G2, Excel, and SQL reports.
Education and/or Experience
Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences.
Minimum five years previous job experience and/or training with Engineering, or Manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Other Skills and Abilities
Knowledge in the area of quality methodologies and principles.
Ability to communicate with senior leadership and present data.
Ability to effectively manage projects.
Ability to obtain the 8-policy deployment initiatives.
Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and coworkers.
Ability maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.
Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.
Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to form insightful opinions on behavior and motive.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
ASQ, Quality Improvement Associate, Quality Process Analyst, Quality Technician, and/or Quality Auditor preferred.
Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.
ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
