This position develops a comprehensive global training strategy that aligns to the manufacturing talent strategy and supports the overall organizational strategy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Lead through the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors. Manage assigned team members in performance of their duties. Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization's business strategies and objectives and ensure department is properly serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.2. Plan, develop, and facilitate training for manufacturing team members, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as instructor led training, blended learning, social learning, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.3. Partner with Talent Development Manager and other center of excellence managers to ensure alignment with training initiatives.4. Consult and partner with internal manufacturing customers to assess needs and desired results and develop plans based on those needs.5. Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of existing training for manufacturing team members utilizing assessment and evaluation tools linked to adult learning models.6. Create the technical training for the onboarding of production team members.Education and/or Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.- Minimum seven years working in a manufacturing environment.- Experience with building relationships with and working with colleagues and business leaders.- Minimum 2 years of people management or project management experience preferred.Other Skills and Abilities- Select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.- Ability to listen and convey information effectively by giving full attention to others, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.- Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills are required to understand the implications of new information for both current and future decision-making.- Ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast paced environment.- Business acumen to uphold the business strategy as it applies talent development.- Knowledge of adult learning, facilitation techniques, training industry trends, needs assessments, organizational policies, and lean principles.- Ability to effectively manage projects, resources and time to meet deadlines and customer expectations.- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, understanding how people learn and how to apply learning principles to a variety of areas within the business.- Ability to stay current with developments in technical training issues, organizational development strategies, training metrics, and employee involvement and engagement.TravelUp to 10% domestic and/or international trav
