Job Summary

The Pricing and Costing Analyst Intern helps prepare and distribute the pricing for the company through direct partnership with product management and other Finance functions. This position provides analytic and financial skills that enable reporting of timely and accurate pricing and costing reports along with direct engagement with internal departments and dealers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.

  2. Help prepare and publish up-to-date monthly pricebooks for the business for internal and external users.

  3. Assist in analyzing costing and pricing information for price increases, exchange rate plan changes, and required reporting and support cost accounting and top management through ad hoc reporting.

  4. Help create and distribute different monthly financial reports with a high level of accuracy and meet established deadlines.

  5. Partner with end users to identify opportunities for business process improvements and implement desired changes.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma required.

  • Current student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting.

  • Previous internship is a plus.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of cost accounting to prepare and present financial metrics in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and/or SQL preferred.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems with a preference for Glovia.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

  • Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.

  • Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to see the big picture through execution of detailed steps and processes.

  • Ability to collaborate with all departments through active engagement.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
