Pella Regional Health Center Performance Improvement Coodinator in Pella, Iowa
The Organizational Excellence Coordinator provides operations and clinical improvement support at Pella Regional Health Center by functioning as a performance improvement facilitator, educator and subject matter expert. The Organizational Excellence (OE) Coordinator coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that performance improvement efforts use a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing organizational strategic imperatives. In addition, the OE Coordinator assures that the area/departments assigned to a PI initiatives use LEAN methodologies to improve patient care, communication and interdepartmental activity. The OE Coordinator provides coordination for improving the organization’s measures of success, key performance indicators, evaluating the impact that system improvements have on quality of care and publicly reported data, and developing training programs that focus on enabling the hospital to achieve its strategic goals. Additionally, the Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Service Excellence Manager to evaluate trends and address patient complaints and grievances.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in communication, human services, organizational development, hospitality or a related field required preferred. 2-year degree may be substituted if in combination with 4 or more years of advanced experience. Further education in the field may be substituted for a formal degree.
Experience in a health care organization preferred.
Prior experience in Performance Improvement preferred.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Effective presentation and delivery skills.
Ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team.
Excellent communication skills including, but not limited to, active listening skills, problem-solving skills, and telephone skills.
Must display a high degree of empathetic understanding, tact and kindness toward others.
Computer knowledge including Word, Excel and Power Point.
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of persons and personalities. Ability to work with difficult customers.
Willingness and ability to receive advanced customer satisfaction training.
Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail.
Must possess those technical and critical thinking skills required to complete the duties as described in this job description.
