Job Summary

Work Shift

1 - First Shift

The Procurement Expediter works with vendors to improve delivery dates of identified items and contacts vendors to get updated information regarding shipments, lead-times and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.

  2. Utilize appropriate reports to contact vendors and request expedited delivery for identified parts.

  3. Work with buyers to resolve discrepancies between the on-line system and delivery information from vendors.

  4. Run various parts lists and work with vendors to obtain the following information: lead-times, cost, and weight. Distribute this to appropriate parties and update the system.

  5. Execute the ordering process for Direct Ship items from order placement through Sales Order promise date upload and past due order follow up.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma with a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience; and/or combination of education and experience.

  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with other MS programs is highly preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize projects and multi-task to meet deadlines and customer’s expectations.

  • Ability to produce accurate, professional and error free-free documents in a timely manner.

  • Knowledge of Vermeer’s G2 system and ability to access data as required.

  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with customers.


Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
