The Senior Mobile Application Developer leads the design, development, testing, deployment and support of mobile customer facing solutions. This role works directly with several departments to meet their specific programming requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.
Lead the development of high performance Android or iOS platform mobile solutions using Xamarin C#. This includes conceptualize, design, develop, test and deploy apps. Work with other developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps.
Maintain and enhance existing apps as requested. Create and maintain all necessary apps and program documentation.
Preserve the integrity of company, customer, and dealer data.
Develop detailed project plan and estimate time, delivery, and cost for development projects.
Keep up to date on new emerging technologies and identify the applicability of these technologies to improve mobile solution offerings. Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Create, update and promote best practices, guidelines, and standards.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 7 years’ of development experience on mobile solutions (iOS and Android); and/or a combination of education and experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Xamarin Application Framework is required.
Demonstrated experience with the following frameworks: Android – J2EE/J2ME, Android SDK, SQLite/MySQL, Eclipse; iOS - Objective-C, iOS SDK, Xcode, Swift
Strong software development skills beyond design, including OO and MVC/MVVM patterns.
Proven mobile software development experience.
Experience in a Microsoft-centric development environment utilizing C# as development language.
Ability to work with Agile-based Team Development Methodology using Microsoft VSTS, TFS 2015, or Atlassian JIRA.
Previous experience working with Design Patterns development to support SOLID principles and Test-Driven Development.
Previous experience developing with Public Cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.

Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
Microsoft Certified Professional Developer preferred.
Up to 25% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane is required.
