Mud Pump Repair Technician
Location: Pocahontas, IA Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Pump foreman
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mud Pump Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, particularly in the oil and gas industry. But we are willing to train the right candidate. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mud pumps to be sold to customers all over the world.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on mud pumps and associated equipment. - Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective repair solutions. - Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble mud pumps and components. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed. - Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects. - Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing all tasks. - Participate in emergency repair situations and troubleshooting as required.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical repair is preferred.. - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions and willingness to deep clean torn down, greasy pumps.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift heavy equipment (70 lbs) regularly and work in confined spaces. - Willingness to work at heights and in outdoor environments. - Ability to handle standing for prolonged times.
