Job Description Summary

The Cardiology Clinical Applications Specialist provides expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The Cardiology Clinical Applications Specialist is responsible for a range of activities, including pre-sales support, customer current and future state workflow assessments, customer system configurations, creating training materials, conducting expert hands-on instruction (within standard practices and protocols), conducting clinical workflow testing, pre go live and go live support, providing technical support to healthcare professionals and KPI identification and tracking. The Cardiology Clinical Applications Specialist must utilize strong knowledge of cardiology clinical and operational workflows and processes, cardiology product functionalities, leverage extensive expertise in healthcare systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt training methods to various learning styles to provide guidance and recommendations to customers throughout a project implementation to ensure maximum productivity, satisfaction, and product adoption.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary customer evaluations to assist the sales and pre-sales teams with customer objectives at an earlier stage in the sales process and identifying potential areas of growth with the customer.

  • As part of the customer enablement team, the Application Specialist will provide training on products within the product portfolio, following the established design, workflows, and configurations.

  • Provide training either in-person at customer facilities or remotely, depending on the customer project needs.

  • As a subject matter expert, provide support as needed in reviewing and creating training materials for both customers and internal team members.

  • Responsible for maintaining regular contact with customer and project team members to ensure project deliverables and desired outcomes are progressing as planned and that expectations are well-defined. Facilitate responses to customer inquiries and identify necessary resources to assist when required.

  • Ability to prioritize project goals and set clear and concise expectations with customers.

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop, oversee, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive training programs for both internal and external partners and customers. Individual will play a pivotal role in creating training content and providing ongoing customer support and assistance to ensure effective implementation and utilization of cardiology applications.

  • Demonstrates expert-level judgment and proficiency in suggesting diverse solutions beyond established boundaries, while seeking guidance when necessary. Utilizes prior experience and on-the-job training to tackle routine tasks effectively. Possesses the technical skills and analytical prowess necessary for problem solving and may consult various internal resources beyond our team to make informed decisions.

  • Work closely with team leaders and people leader on customer challenges and escalations.

  • Lead clinical responsible for crafting and implementing the clinical strategy on behalf of the project team.

  • Understand and track all project metrics including effort and financials according to clinical plan.

  • Provide consultative leadership for implementation team. Includes responsibilities such as: interviews, analysis, strategic direction, workflow discovery, workflow design, implementation procedures, end-to-end system testing, surveys, pre and post go live analysis.

  • Identify and provide customer test plans. Recommend test scripts, customize with customer. Assist with customer end-to-end system testing.

  • Collect and upload configuration files. This may include gathering and documenting required information and data from customer and internal project resources.

  • Work with customers and GE resources throughout the project life cycle, conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of pre-determined success factors.

  • Apply and utilize change management practices throughout the project.

  • As a vital member of the implementation team, mentor, and guide customers, collaborate with GE resources, to prepare for successful activation. Ensure the customer can effectively use the product to maximize their productivity and long-term success.

  • Assist customers in the understanding of the products purchased and how they are used in their daily workflow.

  • Maintain communication with customer and other team members to ensure deliverables and desired outcomes are on track and expectations are clear. Facilitate answers to technical and clinical customer questions, identify resources to assist as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and/or 10+ years as a, Registered Radiologic Technologist, or Cardiovascular Technologist.

  • 60% travel Nationally within the US

  • Minimum three years’ experience in radiology/cardiology imaging clinical workflow experience.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Exposure and experience providing consultative solutions to customers. That includes departmental IT workflow for Hospital and Clinics.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong skills using Microsoft VISIO, Excel, SQL, Project, and Office Professional components.

  • Experience with hardware and system interconnectivity – including VMs and cloud-based software

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $86,560.00-$129,840.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
