Price Electric BIM Technician - Electrical in Robins, Iowa

PRICE ELECTRIC is seeking self-motivated, team-oriented electricians who wants to apply their field experience and knowledge and expand their careers to include 3D modeling, design, and coordination in the M.E.P. industry.
The BIM Technician works closely with the Pre-Construction Department, project managers, and field leaders to ensure model content meets expectations and timelines. Primary responsibilities include:
Modeling and coordinating electrical layouts and design per contract documents
Adhering to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria
Following BIM content standards and development procedures
Printing drawing sets and participating in project reviews
Producing installation and shop drawings
Ensuring LOD meets contract requirements
Checking work completed personally or by CAD Techs for accuracy before next-level review
Self-scheduling tasks to meet deliverables and maintaining high attention to detail
Leading modeling efforts on projects and working with support modelers to complete deliverables.
We will gladly consider qualified candidates who have an equivalent combination of 2 years of college-level computerized drafting/AEC education and at least 3 years of MEP construction experience.
We have also found that candidates with 3 years of industrial or commercial electrical formal training and field experience, which includes at least 2 years of electrical raceway and components experience, can be highly successful with some training.
We will train willing electricians to proficiently produce working design documents and use AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Procore and Bluebeam if they demonstrate the following abilities and knowledge:
Skill in interpreting 2D plans, diagrams and blueprints
Understanding of 3-D coordination with other trades
Active listening skills to turn verbal and general written direction into appropriate, working design documents
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and construction management systems
Prioritization of multiple responsibilities that may need to reprioritized as agreed upon changes occur
Work under time pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
Strong oral and written communication skills
Interact effectively and professionally with employees of all levels, customers and vendors
