Job Title: Weld Lead
Job Description
Our client is a fabrication shop that provides specific work for clients in the area. We are seeking a Weld Lead to supervise welders and ensure efficient and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading blueprints, operating welding equipment, and training new welders.
Responsibilities
Supervise welders in their daily tasks.
Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamps.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Train new welders and assist on the production floor as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
Proficiency in maintenance repair and fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
At least 2 years of welding experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- AWS certification preferred (pay increase if certified).

Work Environment
This is a very clean manufacturing facility that is heated and cooled throughout the year. Day shift hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 4pm, with overtime as needed. Night shift hours are Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2am. Contractors must wear steel-toed boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Valley, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00
