The Craft Trainer will be responsible for providing support for the Interstates Craft Training Program, as outlined in the duties and responsibilities below. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our team and external customers.Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and conduct technical training programs,Assess & deploy training for personnel needs and certification requirementsPrepare training material and classroom agendaConduct presentations using a variety of training methods such as technical materials and field installation methods and standards.Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skillsPresent on subject matter and content relevant to the construction industryAssist the Training Director in accordance with business needs and regulatory requirementsPlan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshopsOther duties may be assignedEducation and/or Experience:Licensed Journeyman Electrician Preferred3-5 years of experience in conducting training or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial Electrical TradePreferred Skills:Excellent public speaking ability and ease in moderating large groups.Demonstrable leadership and communication skills and a commitment to development.Travel: This position is located in our Sioux Center, IA Office.
