Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Laborer to join our team as a Material Handler. This role involves the efficient, safe, and effective loading and unloading of products, adhering to Feed Safety/Food Safety standards, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the plant environment.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently load and unload products from trailers and rail cars, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols.
Prepare and operate machinery, valves, and pumps related to loading and unloading systems.
Monitor product quality, take and maintain product samples as required.
Maintain accurate records and logs associated with plant operations.
Perform regular housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Follow all standard operating procedures and safety rules, inspect safety equipment, and maintain safety standards.
Operate shag tractor for trailer spotting and other necessary equipment.
Perform physical activities such as ascending/descending ladders and stairs, operating machinery, and moving about to accomplish tasks.
Requirements:
Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, PIMS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations in English.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., works in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, and performs tasks in noisy and hazardous environments.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
