We are looking for aPreventative Maintenance & Mitigation Specialistto join our team and help ensure safety and compliance for customers across diverse facilities.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Electrical Safety Technical Manager, the Preventative Maintenance & Mitigation Specialist works directly with customers to develop strategies to mitigate arc flash and thermal hazards, keeping their facilities compliant with NFPA 70B standards. This role will leverage technical expertise to design and implement solutions, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Solutions & Compliance:Collaborate with customers to deliver effective hazard mitigation strategies following arc flash report completion, ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Arc Flash Study Maintenance:Work closely with customers and internal teams to keep arc flash studies current and compliant with industry regulations.

  • Documentation & Reporting:Produce clear and precise technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.

  • Customer Outreach:Engage with existing customers to present hazard mitigation options, assess cost-effective solutions, and manage updates to arc flash studies.

  • Site Audits:Conduct job site walkthroughs to perform code compliance audits, ensuring facility safety.

  • Project Management:Oversee multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

  • Electrical Maintenance Program Development:Assist customers in creating an Electrical Maintenance Program (EMP) tailored to their facility’s needs.

  • Cross-functional collaboration:Partner with our Electrical Construction, Engineering, and Service teams to deliver NFPA 70B compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience & Education:

  • Five years of experience with electrical installations or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience demonstrating proficiency.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards; a Journeyman Electrician license is a plus but not required.

  • Technical Knowledge:Comprehensive understanding of electrical distribution systems, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation.

  • Problem Solving:Self-directed with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Software Proficiency:Skilled in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and power tools software like SKM PowerTools or Easypower.

  • Organization & Detail-Oriented:Able to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Customer Service:Exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to provide valuable insights for improving site safety.

  • Revenue Focus:Success in this role is measured by revenue generated from mitigation activities.

  • Physical Requirements:Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds and navigating diverse worksite environments.

  • Travel:Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel to customer sites nationwide, with approximately 30% travel time.
