Great Southern Bank Senior Trainer in Sioux City, Iowa
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under limited supervision, but following existing policies and procedures as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, conducts training classes and other continuing education programs for all banking center, operations, administrative, and lending personnel. Works closely with the Training Manager to assist with the planning and implementation of various training and skill enhancement programs. Works to ensure that all participants understand the core training objectives of the class/session and is responsible for keeping up to date on all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory changes affecting his/her area of responsibility. May be required to travel 80% of the time to remote locations in order to administer various training programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates, leads, and directs all aspects of the assigned training class(es). Formats may include classroom sessions, webinars and video conference presentations. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
Assists the Training Manager with the coordination, development, and implementation of all internal training programs. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
Works to ensure the satisfactory completion of all established core training objectives. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.
Understands, trains, coaches and uses excellent customer service skills at all times. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
Works with the Training Manager to continually evaluate all training classes and presentations ensuring a creative and innovative approach toward improving the participants' knowledge and/or skill level. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
Maintains a strong working knowledge of and helps to ensure full compliance of all applicable banking regulations and statutes including those connected with Retail Banking, Lending, Security Training and Investments (if applicable).. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
All other special projects, reports and duties as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A drivers license and or the ability to travel (car or plane) to all Great Southern locations as needed.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license and/or the ability to travel (80% of the time) to all Great Southern locations as needed.
Moderate pace and clear speech patterns to facilitate webinars.
