Aventure Staffing Temper Mill Operator on 2nd Shift in Sioux City, Iowa
Temper Mill Operator on 2 nd Shift | $19.00/hr
Hours are Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm to 1:30 am- OT as needed.
Training will be done Monday to Thursday 10 am to 8:00 pm
A locally owned steel company in Sioux City, Iowa is looking for a Temper Mill machine operator to join their team! This position works both independently and on a team to move sheets of metals. This is a great opportunity to work with a long-term, reputable steel company in the area. This is a laser machine operator with only a select number of positions available. Responsibilities:
Operate temper mill machine.
Use overhead cranes & forklifts to move materials.
Determines the sequence of operation by reading the shop drawings, specifications and all work orders.
Cuts, lay outs, and steel.
Set up and arrange work area suited for most efficient production runs.
Uses proper setting technique of the machines to avoid damage to the machines.
Accurately reads and understand a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
Follows assigned work instructions to prepare items to be processed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to work after given direction on own.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Must have own transportation.
Trained overhead crane and forklift operator prefers at least 1 year.
Must possess the ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language and contribute to the success of the team.
Must have demonstrated ability to read blue prints, tape measure, calipers, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Must be reliable with good work history.
