Job Purpose: Provide all customers of Karl Chevrolet with a professional sales and service experience, meeting Dealership expectations regarding volume, service and professionalism resulting in a “Customer for Life”
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales: Meet or exceed monthly sales forecast, balancing the needs of the customer with the
business interests of the dealership. Build customer base through outside sales stops, networking referrals, prospecting, auto alert and system assigned current Karl customers. Consistently grow and actively manage a balanced pipeline of new and existing customers, insuring a consistent book of business. Actively listen for customer buying signals and act accordingly. Build an atmosphere that creates an appropriate time to introduce a conversation about price, as well as an opportunity to close the sale.
Professionalism: Represent the dealership at all times in a highly professional manner (always on stage). Consistently follow the steps of the sale with each and every customer. Understand and execute a professional pre-sale interview, creating a relationship with our customer, while uncovering valuable
information that will help us meet their buying needs. Demonstrate all of the features , building value in the price of any vehicle, and the relationship with our premiere Chevrolet Dealership. Stay trained in outside sales techniques. Achieve 100% certification status on GM Training Product Knowledge. Develop thorough knowledge of dealership history, inventory, and commitment to excellence. Develop and establish a variety of effective marketing (AOI), and communication channels to reach a broad base of customers.
Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to all dealership customers, greeting and
welcoming each as the opportunity is presented. Provide a high level of personal service for each of your
customers, identifying needs and providing solutions specific to them. Offer off-site meetings and deliveries, streamlining processes where we can to help meet the needs of our busy business customers. Always follow up to make sure customer needs are met. Meet or exceed CSI requirements, consistently staying above 50% or higher monthly return rate (sales/ surveys) and maintain a 90% average on overall purchase and delivery question. Help create and support a work culture that fosters and rewards excellence and promotes teamwork and collaboration. Actively manage the transition of your customer to another sales person in your absence, insuring that transition does not negatively impact the customer. Complete pass off sheet with active customer information and deals pending at the end of an early shift or holiday.
Quality: Complete and submit all required paperwork and documentation neatly, accurately
and in a timely manner, outstanding paperwork creates a high volume of uncollected revenue. Follow all policies and procedures as it pertains to customer accounts and transactions. Maintain accurate tracking of production and contacts. Provide complete documentation to the Finance Department to begin vehicle delivery process. Consistently and carefully follow dealership processes for title and delivery.
Qualifications: HS Diploma, previous sales experience preferred, not required. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment. Excellent communication, presentation, time management and organization skills. Proficient in MS software and general computer skills. Clean driving record.
