Sapphire Gymnastics Academy Facility Maintenance Technician in Urbandale, Iowa

Job Summary:

We are seeking an in-house Cleaner to join our team. We are not looking to outsource to another company or 1099. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards within various facilities. Understanding, proficiency, and experience in basic repair and maintenance a plus!

Duties:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment in an efficient and high quality standard

  • Conduct custodial duties such as restroom upkeep, trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, and surface cleaning

  • Assist with facilities maintenance including minor repairs and upkeep. Previous experience with basic hand tools and hand power tools a plus.

  • Execute floor care duties such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet cleaner use, and assist in move/rearranging of gym flooring with Core Team.

  • Handle cleaning tasks in accordance with established protocols. Work in partnership with management to create the most efficient processes.

  • Support painting projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cleaning or related field

  • Comfortable interacting with occasional customers/ holds oneself to a professional yet personable standard in the gym. Takes seriously the ever-potential possibility for youth eyes and ears to be nearby. All employees represent the gym standards.

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and in a team environment

  • Experience with cleaning equipment and techniques

  • Familiarity with custodial duties and facilities maintenance practices
