WesleyLife is seeking a Director of People and Culture to join our WesleyLife at Home team. This role focuses on driving a positive team culture and implementing top-notch HR practices. You will collaborate with leaders to create a thriving workplace, ensuring smooth HR operations and full compliance with industry standards. WesleyLife at Home is celebrating 20 years of providing exceptional home health services throughout central Iowa. We provide integrated solutions to support the health and well-being of older adults wherever they call home. We bring the convenience of quality, compassionate care to the safety and comfort of client homes. Our departments include Home Health, Hospice, In-Home Services, Meals on Wheels, and Public Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full recruitment process, from posting job ads to interviewing and onboarding new hires.

  • Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Facilitate new-hire orientation and benefits enrollment to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

  • Act as a resource for leaders on performance management and team member relations.

  • Manage workers' compensation claims and collaborate with medical providers for effective return-to-work plans.

  • Implement and oversee team member education and leadership development programs.

  • Analyze and report on HR metrics, developing action plans to address areas of improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with all HR-related regulations, including OSHA, FMLA, and other workplace laws.

  • Collaborate with the broader People & Culture team to align with WesleyLife’s overall vision and strategy.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and benefits administration.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • A passion for creating a positive team culture and supporting organizational change.

  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
