We are currently looking to add to our team an exciting opportunity as a Sales Manager. The purpose of this position is to oversee several sales departments within the organization, including group health insurance sales, individual health insurance sales, life and long-term care sales, and the recruitment division. The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring sales goals are met for the organization and report sales results to upper-level management.
The Sales Manager is part of a team but will work independently as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision of the different sales departments within the organization, including annual reviews and disciplinary action if needed
Create, implement, and follow-up on sales goals to ensure all goals are met successfully
Provide frequent sales updates to the Management Team
Ensure teams are in compliance with company and state regulatory and policy requirements
Attend internal sales meetings and trainings
Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
Perform other duties as required
Education and/or Experience:
Candidate must have their health and life insurance license or the ability to obtain the license within 90 days of hire
Candidate must have a four-year degree or the equivalent relevant work experience
Candidate must have 5+ years of management experience in the insurance industry
Candidate must have a strong understanding of the health insurance industry, including carrier contracts, commissions, etc.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook
AgencyBloc or similar agency management software experience, preferred
Self-motivated and driven
Maintain a sense of urgency and ability to work with and meet deadlines
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance
Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills
Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy
The ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
