Summary:

The Program Manager will oversee new programs from quoting process through implementation on the production floor. Works with various departments, customers, and vendors to ensure a successful launch.

Job Responsibilities : The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned and required.

  1. Work with customers to understand their expectations and requirements.

  2. Work with other departments to develop quotes for new business.

  3. Investigate and select vendors to ensure equipment can be produced to meet expectations.

  4. Track equipment completion to ensure timelines are met.

  5. Manage programs through CPMP and support all KPI requirements.

  6. Manage and support all audits related to program launches.

  7. Work with all departments to ensure proper implementation of equipment and programs as stated in the engineering procedures and work instructions.

  8. Represent the company to vendors and customers.

  9. Follows and supports the company’s and Magna’s operating principles.

  10. Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey

Qualifications: ( These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Employees will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently)

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Post secondary degree and/or experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of customer specific requirements.

  • Understands the quoting process for new business.

  • Working knowledge of: G.D.&T., SPC, Analysis of Motion/Ergonomics, Mistake Proofing/Poka-Yoka, Control Plans, F.M.E.A., A.P.Q.P.

  • Skilled in CAD and Microsoft office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to internal and external customers/vendors

  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to problem solve and develop/implement solutions.

  • Ability to travel and maintain necessary passport and visas.
