Pay: $18-22/hr

Job Description

We are seeking skilled carpenters, concrete workers, and steel erectors for various commercial projects within a 60-mile radius of Waterloo. Our projects range from $1 million to $15 million and include remodels and new buildings at UNI. This role involves performing all aspects of construction, including demolition work, earthwork and excavations, placing and finishing concrete, preparing layouts, erecting frameworks for structures, installing ceilings and walls, welding, signaling operators, and other construction-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition work, earthwork, and excavations

• Place and finish concrete

• Prepare layouts and erect frameworks for structures

• Install ceilings and walls

• Perform welding tasks

• Signal operators and perform other construction-related tasks

• Use basic hand tools such as tool pouches, hammer, tape measure, speed square, and utility knife

• Be open to performing different tasks on the job site

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of construction experience

• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Ability to work in various weather conditions

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, concrete work, and steel welding

• Basic hand tools required: tool pouches, hammer, tape measure, speed square, utility knife

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
