Your Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineerfor John Deere Tractor Cab Assembly Operations in Waterloo, Iowa, you will support the factory manufacturing operations to improve business performance. In addition, you will
Lead tactical Order Fulfillment Process responsibilities for the business
Develop, innovate, and/or improve Quality tools that support the business
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead inter-factory liaison quality execution
Mentor and develop Quality team members
Investigate product and process defects for root cause and corrective action recommendation
Support Development and Execution of Order Fulfillment Process Quality Initiatives
Reinforce published policies and procedures
Support quality planning activities
Support introduction of new products and current product change control
Collect, analyze, and execute assembly control plans and data streams
Support external regulatory audit (ISO)

What Skills You Need
Demonstrated Project Management skills
Ability to lead and facilitate large meetings
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Experience in the use of and applying quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Root Cause Analysis
Experience implementing change in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
Experience in the use of manufacturing information systems (SAP, MPPlanner, Creo, JDAAT, JD Tester/RTT/EDAT)
Experience with formal NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action) processes
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with Data Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
Experience implementing change in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
Controlled manufacturing experience in manufacturing engineering, supply management, quality engineering, or operations
Experience in working with inter-factory teams
Experience using advanced quality tools aligned with ASQs Book of Knowledge
ASQ or Six Sigma Training or certifications
Extensive systems and product knowledge of large ag. Equipment and weld fabrication
Experience with Ag equipment applications
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technology or equivalent related work experience
