TitleService TechnicianDescriptionJob Summary:This position will service, test and repair electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems in residential, commercial and industrial environments and provides excellent customer service to our clients. Must meet all proficiencies of a Technician - Level II.*Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Service and repair specified alarm system devices.Test and verify that all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance to manufacturer's specifications and to ensure excellent customer service.Use multi-meter for particular volts and ohm readings and circuit analysis.Use various hand and power tools such as drills and screwdriver for service or installation purposes.Conceal wire in residences and run wire as neat and inconspicuous as possible and as needed to correct any problems. Strip wire without leaving bare openings.Hook up RJ31X to specified panel mountings of particular devices such as motion detectors, keypads, and controls.Program or re-program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.Keep company vehicle clean and in good operating order (i.e. handle periodic oil changes, fueling, washing of vehicle, etc.).Explain and demonstrate to the customer what has been serviced, corrected and/or how the specific alarm system works.Demonstrate a certain degree of initiative, accuracy, ingenuity, independence, problem-solving ability, and good communication skillsComplete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department on a daily basis.Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.Will be on-call as required.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Per Mar Security Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally in the performance of their jobs at all times as well as be in compliance with company policy and procedures as it relates to their job function.When appropriate, inform customers of Per Mar Security Services of products and services and refer business to appropriate department.As this position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by management.Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with Per Mar Security Services attendance expectations.Position RequirementsAdditional Duties:May oversee another technician on the job, as assigned.Education and/or Experience:High School Diploma or GED is required. Technical or college degree electronics is preferred.Must meet all proficiencies of a Technician - Level II.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Must be knowledgeable of/and have ability to service all Burg/Fire panels utilized by Per Mar.Mus
