Title: Software Test Engineer - 47619

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Test Engineer, for the John Deere Product Engineering Center (Waterloo), you will test software components and compositions. In addition, you will:

  • Perform testing in a simulation and automated environment.

  • Solve issues that involve testing multiple code modules, code bases, and/or multiple developers.

  • Support resolution of issues and provide testing support to product lines.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience with model-based software testing methodology

  • Experience with testing CAN J1939 communication protocol

  • Experience in testing firmware (Embedded Software) development using C

  • Experience with testing Real-Time Operating Systems

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in testing simulation and modeling tools

  • Knowledge of virtual testing of embedded software

  • Experience with testing microcontrollers peripherals and systems, including PWM, boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, interrupt and trap functions, capture compare, serial and parallel interfaces

  • Experience in testing development in Visual Studio and C# is a plus

  • General knowledge of Agile software development methodology

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
