Your Responsibilities
As a Sr. Application Engineer- Electronic Controls for John Deere Intelligent Systems Group (ISG) located in Waterloo, IA you will….
Support integration of the Engine Control Unit (ECU) into the engine control system
Scrum Master for the ISG ECU Electronic Hardware Agile Team
Primary liaison between the ISG ECU Electronic Hardware and Power Systems Engine Controls teams
Assist in capturing ECU product requirements from John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) and providing ECU application requirements to JDPS

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of experience performing complex engineering work requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions
Demonstrated exceptional communication skills
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
Experience developing and/or executing test or analysis plans for electronic products
Experience in Agile methodology
Understanding of electronic components and electronic systems
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and plan activities
What Makes You Stand Out
ECU design experience
Electronics design experience
Knowledge of electronic control systems
Basic understanding of compression and spark ignition engines
Experience with test and measurement tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters)
Agile Scrum Master or Product Owner role experience
Systems Engineering training and/or experience
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
