Title: Verification Champion Engineer - 43149
As a Verification Champion Engineer, for the John Deere Product Engineering Center (Waterloo), you will be part of an international team of Embedded Software Quality Assurance personnel. In this role you will work with Subsystem Engineers to fully understand all requirements, create test plans, define test environments, assure test infrastructure and coordinate testing resources. In addition, you will:
Perform embedded systems engineering tasks including the Quality Assurance process for requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, and vehicle platform testing and problem solving.
Coordinate functional and integration bench testing in a simulated, virtual environment as well as perform on-vehicle testing in the lab and/or field.
Drive resolution to issues found during field testing and provide software support to the verification and validation team.

What Skills You Need
2 or more years of professional experience in embedded software testing
Experience with model based software design (MBSD) using the Matlab/Simulink tool chain
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode
Strong, demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (both domestic and internationally)
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with AUTOSAR
Experience with CAN communications protocol and the J1939 standard
Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems in an automotive or agricultural setting
Technical skills and knowledge in portable electronic design, communication bus interfaces, GPS systems, wireless communications, and mobile application development
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
