Position Summary:

The role of Technical Advisor directly supports the companys mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As a Technical Advisor, you will provide support in implementing program reviews. You will also provide technical advice as well as expertise to systems development technical project groups, while define, develop and review all existing and proposed applications for technical design plus the development of all major customer or server projects.

What youll do:

  • Provides technical guidance as per Nordex instructions during the component offloading process and turbine erection process.
  • Provides technical guidance as per Nordex instructions related to mechanical and electrical completion activities.
  • Provides guidance on the mechanical and electrical completion of the turbines regarding cleanliness, condition, and presence of subcomponents, electrical termination, and workmanship.
  • Provides completion of installation actives by the general contractor.
  • Provides propers installation and functionality of the climb assist system.
  • Provides completion in process control forms alongside Client and general contractor representatives.
  • Support QA (Quality) in documenting any nonconformities.
  • Support SM (Site Management) in completion of the QG23 (Quality Gate 23) mechanical completion process to include guiding teams in Completing Punchlist items.
  • Support SM in the entry and follow up of technical engineering requests in the SNow ticket system.
  • Creates clear and legible audit reports for all technical guidance given.
  • Submit weekly safety observations, monthly PPE and vehicle inspections.
  • Track and close expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you have:

  • HS Diploma required. Degree in technical or engineering field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical/construction supervisory experience; Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
  • Experience in quality management and quality control processes; Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
  • Basic electrical skills to include use of a multi-meter.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Ability to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the construction process.
  • Ability to interface with the customers and contractors.
  • WTG on-site assembly experience required.
  • 80% to 90% travel required.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required with the ability to obtain a passport.
  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid drivers license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic drivers abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 265 lbs. or less.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.

The pay for this role is non-exempt at $33.00 - $37.00 hourly with up to a 5% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
