Our client is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant to join their team in West Des Moines. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing administrative functions related to donor relations, with a focus on new donors, repeat donors, and SPE only donors. This role involves verifying appointment times, assisting donors with future appointments, maintaining donor records, and providing exceptional customer service to all donors and visitors. If you have at least 2 years of Administrative experience and are customer/client focused then this is the role for you.

salary: $20 - $21 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM

education: Bachelors


As an Administrative Assistant, Job Duties include:

  • Verify appointment times and assist donors with scheduling future appointments.

  • Ensure repeat donors scan in electronic systems accurately and timely.

  • Create or pull donor record files and verify prior donations.

  • Request identification for new donors and notify appropriate personnel upon donor arrival.

  • Contact donors to remind them of upcoming appointments and encourage attendance.

  • Maintain an orderly filing system, purging records as needed in compliance with regulations.

  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

  • Greet all visitors, including new and repeat donors, in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service.


  • 2+ years working in administrative roles, preferably in a healthcare or donor relations setting.

  • Proven organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with advanced customer service orientation.

  • Proficiency in electronic record-keeping systems and basic computer applications.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional demeanor with a friendly and welcoming attitude towards donors and visitors.
