Job Title: Cable Technician
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Cable Technicians to join our team for an exciting project at a major Data Center. Your primary responsibilities will include spotting for other techs on eco lifts, running and pulling cables between colos, dressing and organizing cables along cable trays, managing cable systems, and labeling cables. You will work at ground level or from an eco lift (10-12 feet in the air). No prior cabling experience is necessary, but it would be advantageous. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable working from heights and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
Spot for other technicians on eco lifts.
Run and pull cables between colos.
Dress and organize cables along cable trays.
Manage cable systems and label cables.
Follow blueprints for assembling trays, racks, and laying out wires.
Essential Skills
6+ months of hands-on work experience within cabling, construction, installation, or industrial assembly.
Experience on construction sites (6 months to 1 year).
Mechanical aptitude (6 months to 1 year).
Ability to follow blueprints for assembling trays, racks, and laying out wires.
Attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills.
Team player.
Good communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be able to work in an outdoor or indoor construction work environment.
Self-motivated, positive in approach, and professional.
Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations.
Proven skill level or the ability to learn to interpret blueprints and other project documents.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals.
Regular attendance is mandatory.

Work Environment
This job is performed indoors, primarily on active construction sites. You will work five 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday (7am-5:30pm), though hours may change based on project demands. The environment includes large, active construction areas with moving equipment and potential hazards. Workers are required to wear steel-toed boots, a clean pair of jeans, and a work-appropriate shirt. The client provides a high-visibility vest, hearing protection, and work gloves.

This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00
