Aston Carter Human Resources Generalist in West Des Moines, Iowa


  • This role will be mostly handling the employee relations side of HR and will work alongside the CFO on splitting duties. Will be the main point of contact for all internal employees relating to HR. There are currently 25 employees and looking to be at 30 employees by mid year.

  • This role will be a part of the leadership board and will help with making decisions for this company. Looking for someone that can help with culture and run with the role!

  • Looking for someone that is open to learning about compliance changes and regulations within the industry. Must be on high alert on issues that may come up. Will have courses provided to them and will work directly with the company broker.

  • Will also assist with managing staffing and will work directly with Aston Carter with hiring and assist with screening referrals.

  • Will work to keep job descriptions up to date while the company is continuing to grow and change.

  • Assist with creating training materials and performance management documents.

  • May also assist with annual or semi-annual reviews with leadership.

  • Will manage PTO and vacations and send hours to payroll.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Human resource/Employee Relations experience - 1-5 years
