Wells Fargo Lead Finance Analyst - Small Business Banking in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst to support the Small Business Banking balance sheet and revenue forecasting process for the lending portfolio. As point-person and mentor, this role proposes/drives/leads process improvements in modeling and influences same in multiple groups. While providing key support for the portfolio, it provides end-end process exposure/knowledge of Small Business Banking loans. As liaison to various partner teams, role offers development opportunities for future banking and corporate functions.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead targeted efforts and guide teammates through balance sheet/revenue quarterly forecasts, related CCAR/Mid-Year Financial Assessment forecasts and Resolution Planning for Small Business Banking lending products

  • Make recommendations to peers, stakeholders, and leaders

  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity with appropriate skepticism to review/challenge/enhance processes; take execution ownership

  • Drive meaningful analytics to provide management insight to underlying balance/revenue trends impact

  • Ensure accuracy/timeliness of deliverables; establish controlled processes and support ongoing strategic initiatives with process improvements

  • Build strong partnerships with teammates, Small Business Banking, Corporate Finance/Enterprise Risk Group/Risk Modeling Group

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years knowledge/understanding of financial analysis, forecasting and analyzing balance sheet and net interest income behavior; bank industry preferred

  • Intermediate MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint skills

  • Proficient Hyperion Essbase/SmartView skills

  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, critical thinking, ability to engage in continuous process improvement

  • Ability to interpret/clearly communicate complex financial data to various stakeholders and management levels

  • Work independently and as point-person in team environment and across all organizational levels where flexibility/collaboration/adaptability are key
